Planting & Growing the Seeds of a Global Movement

Personal Pledge

Thanks for taking the Sufficiency Pledge! Now you can create your own personal pledge if you wish. When you are done exploring your own experience of sufficiency, you can post in our Pledge blog, where you can explain what taking this pledge means to you and what actions you want to take to fulfill your pledge.

Thank you for your time!

2. Create a personal pledge

First let’s explore your personal experience of sufficiency in different aspects of your life.

The ultimate goal is to create an experience of enough that permeates all areas of your life. Think about your experience of having, doing and being enough in the following areas of your life:

Health
Sense of self
Financial
Time
Relationships
Contribution/purpose
Work
Spirituality

FIRST -

On a scale of 1-10, how do you feel about your overall well being, including ALL of the categories above?

Take a moment to sit with this question and answer from a blend of heart and mind.

You may feel moved to acknowledge how truly, deeply sufficient your life is now and/or make some new soul-level commitments to strengthen your inner sense of well-being.

3. Notice how many of these categories you feel you have enough/do enough/are enough?

Identify all of the categories where you feel a sense of sufficiency. Pick one or more categories where you feel you do enough,
have enough or are enough.

4. What gives you a sense of sufficiency in these categories?

5. How does this sense of enoughness show up in your life?

6. Pick the top three categories in which you don't feel you experience a sense of having/doing/being enough.

How does this show up in your life?

How does it affect your life?

7. Explore these Questions:

How can you have a sense of sufficiency with what you have in these 3 categories today?

What small and easy steps can you take to feel you have enough / are enough in these 3 categories?

8. When you have repeated thoughts of scarcity (not enough) as we all do– call upon some tools of sufficiency:

wonder forgiveness generosity
gratitude openness nature
allowing trust sharing
letting go love celebration
movement

How might you use these tools of sufficiency to handle the scarcity (the experience of lack or not enough)
that shows up in your life?

9. Sufficiency exists in community. Who can you rely on, reach out to, to support you in creating your experience of enough? Who will you reach out to and by when?

10. CREATE YOUR PERSONAL PLEDGE NOW

Now we invite you to create your own personal pledge that articulates your commitment to personal and global sufficiency.
